About the Job
Your tasks:
Prospect new customers and sell our products (masts for public lighting, catenary poles, telecom masts, gantries; ...) in the designated sector, in order to achieve sales targets.
Manage the designated customers and prospects, so that an effective commercial planning can be carried out.
This includes among others things:
. draw up and update a customer and prospect plan;
. collect and record all important information regarding these contacts;
. write a visit schedule according to the objectives to be achieved;
. write a sales estimate by account;
. analyze sales figures, etcetera in comparison with the estimates drawn up;
. telephone and gather market information from potential customers;
. survey customer satisfaction;
. make appointments with clients and prospects regarding visits.
Carry out promotional activities for sales to local customers, in order to contribute to the achievement of the company's sales objectives.
This includes among others things:
. visit existing customers and lead sales talks, push for new orders;
. visit prospects and lead sales discussions, convince to place a first order;
. gather information concerning the client's needs and wishes and the actions of the competition;
. inform customers about new products;
. participate in trade fairs;
. independent processing of customer inquiries and tenders, as well as order processing including technical clarification and tracking;
. make quotations within the limits granted.
Ensure proper administrative closure and proper execution of the sale in close cooperation with the back office.
This includes among others things:
. ensure correct drafting of contracts;
. calculate prices;
. intervene in the event of a complaint and payment arrears or of payments not made (in consultation with the collection service);
. discuss with direct manager if there are any unresolved issues.
Contribute to the commercial management of the company in order to respond to commercial opportunities and signs coming from the market.
This includes among others things:
. report all relevant market information on a periodic basis;
. formulate ideas and clarify points of view during sales meetings concerning the product assortment, pricing policy and communication strategy.
Execute a restricted administration in order to carry out a control of its own activities and results.
This includes among others things:
. write visit reports;
. maintain sales statistics.
Your profile | Key skills:
Autonomy, Customer orientation, Commercial vocational training and technical understanding or comparable training, Organization, Practical thinking, Outgoing and team-minded, Initiative and precision.
Experience in Public Lighting is desirable, Excellent knowledge of Dutch and French, Good spoken and written English, IT skills (MS Office and preferably SAP), Driving license holder type B
