Improve production processes in flexible foam plants
As Project Technology Engineer, you will manage projects for several flexible foam plants, mainly on domains such as foam processes, foam handling, foam cutting, foam post treatment etc. in order to continuously improve the production processes.
You take the responsibility for investment projects in several flexible foam plants (Europe – Asia – US). Innovation, optimization or new techniques in the light of (technical) business needs guide you towards excellence.
You define or adapt group standards on actual machinery and share them. You facilitate the local plants to implement machinery following standards.
You formulate the project management plan in cooperation with the stakeholders (including resourcing, planning, risk mitigation, quality control and organizational requirements). You deliver the project in line with project objectives, budget and planning, discuss project results with the project team and steering committee, hand over the project to the line management when necessary and evaluate the project with all stakeholders involved.
You act according to the project management process flow and manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
You communicate to all parties concerned the project milestones, status updates, as well as any existing or potential issues and will proactively follow up escalation and change control processes.
As a member of the Group Industrial Management Team you also work together with a number of key stakeholders who will actively contribute to the set-up and execution of the corresponding project planning, e.g. local plant managers or engineers, local controllers, sales, flexfoam product development, subcontractors etc.
You identify the possible and necessary suppliers, determine the offers, acquire project approval, set up the project team and assess project risks and safety risks.
You will report to the Group Technology & Engineering manager & Group Industrialization Senior Manager.
You have a master degree in mechanical or electromechanical or process engineering with minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
You have proven working experience in project management.
Experience in polyurethane foam is an asset. Proven knowledge on design of metering installations. Good knowledge of machine directive 2006/42/EC and risk assessment techniques.
You will never compromise on safety.
You have strong communication and interpersonal skills. You are fluent in English, which is a minimum requirement. Knowledge of an additional language is an asset. Good knowledge of MS Office.
You are willing to travel (up to 50%) mainly in Europe, but also China, Asia and US are possible.
