Marketing & administration officer

About the position:
As Marketing & Administration Officer, you will play an important role in the daily operations of our business. This new position consist of 2 parts:
The first and main part will cover all the marketing responsibilities. Your work will involve assembling & initiating promo and advertising folders. Therefore you will have to collaborate closely with your immediate Supervisor, the Purchase Department and Managing Director, to put our brand visibility to a higher level. This can also involve visiting our various stores to maintain our marketing activities. Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Collaborating with the purchase department to choose the highlight products of the month;
- Making moodboards, as well as designing posters and banners;
- Taking photos of our promo products and editing them with Photoshop;
- Creating our monthly folder with InDesign;
- Nurturing relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices;
- Identifying and research potential new suppliers;
- Tracking and recording purchase orders;
- Organizing and scheduling procurements in a timely manner.
The second part will cover general administration topics. At first you will also have to support the administration team in their daily tasks and learn our product specifications. Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Putting promotions and purchase orders in the system;
- Creating technical information product sheet;
- Filing, organizing and matching invoices with delivery notes and Purchase Order;
- Inspecting received file damage claims with freight companies or vendors;
- Participating in annual on-site inventory.
We are looking for an energetic colleague, who has a desire to add value to our business and increase our brand visibility. You have great time management and organizational/administration skills and put strong emphasis on accuracy and detail. You have excellent communication skills and have no problem performing under time pressure. Besides that, you recognize yourself in the following profile:
- Degree in Marketing or equal by experience in marketing (1-2 years);
- Fluent in both Dutch and French;
- Knowledge of all MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
- Knowledge of Adobe applications (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator);
- Knowledge of updating websites, Facebook page & other marketing techniques;
- Ability to negotiate and pursue new marketing deals, while respecting the marketing budget.
