We are actively seeking a highly personable and technically astute Systems Database Specialist of Microsoft SQL Server databases. The ideal person for this role will have experience providing database support within NATO, the MoD, civil service, the wider armed forces or a defence organisation. You will be responsible for various tasks related to technical support. This work is located in Mons, Belgium and will suit those either already living there or willing to work within that location unencumbered. Sound like a great fit?
As a team member in the JISR Service Line of the NCIA Agency, you will manage the second and third level support of Microsoft SQL Server databases that are deployed in support of NATO’s Resolute Support Mission Intelligence Systems. This meaningful role will require lots of hands-on work developing and executing complex SQL scripts to migrate data, as such you should be well versed in SQL.

You possess a degree or equivalent work experience in related field.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and performance issues
Experience in configuring and optimizing high availability MS SQL Server clusters
Experience in writing and debugging complex SQL Server scripts.
Experience in creating and debugging SQL Server views, functions and stored procedures
Experience in dynamic SQL queries to script updates against multiple similar tables
Experience in designing and developing database maintenance plans.
Experience working in an ITIL environment
Experience in fixing routine network and operating system issues
Experience in developing PowerShell scripts to automate bulk data operations
Experience with message oriented middleware
Experience working with XML and JSON data formats, data transformations with XSLT, XPATH
Ability to obtain and maintain a NATO Secret Security Clearance
